So here we have an injured vulture, and in the Rescue world this is one of the hardest animals to catch, but luckily this isn't my first experience chasing down a vulture. As we neared the vulture she caught on quick to what was going down. When catching a bird like this, typically you get one good chance, so patience, timing, and landscape all play a factor in success. A grounded Vulture might not can fly, but boy can they run. If this fence was not around us, this would be an all out wild chase. Using the fence line and my camera guy as blockers, I was able to run down the vulture in a quick sprint! This rescue actually went far better than I expected, per the story other rescuers had told me of trying to catch this bird. I was extremely lucky to catch this vulture in under 10 minutes!
