We're so excited to announce our red panda cubs, born just a couple of weeks ago to mom Maiya and dad Justin! They're both beautiful girls!
Cub1 is healthy and big and is being raised by her mom, Maiya. Maiya is a great first time mom, and we're so proud of her!
Cub 2 had some respiratory and nursing troubles, so the Zoo made the difficult decision to hand-rear her. It requires feeding every two hours by our Curator of Animals or Zoo vet, and constant monitoring. It's hard to know exactly how it'll work out, but we hope she'll be just fine.
