Bair- Minimum: Annual Street Prodction 2023-2024

Описание: In a country with diverse ethnicities and cultures, it is intrinsic for people to have different opinions. But when people become so rigid with their opinions that they don't even bother to hear what the other person has to offer, inflexible minds are created, which gradually move poles apart. Their co existence is threatened by the psychological blocks built in minds as a result of dire influence by those in power: which numbs their mind from accepting or sometimes, even listening to opposing beliefs.
Modern-day scenarios: biased media platforms, generational trauma, riots, and vandalism have just widened this ever-increasing gap.
"बैर-Minimum", our Annual Street Production, is a visual representation of this rift ("बैर") among people in modern day and how some of our political leaders misuse this pre-existing conflict to fulfill their selfish motives. It further elaborates this embedded rigidity through the "learned helplessness theory" of a captive elephant. The play questions if we are sensible human beings with empathetic minds or merely jokers in the hands of a ringmaster?
