Riding the Sacramento Northern Bike Trail which runs from Downtown Sacramento to Rio Linda. The trail is built along the old Sacramento Northern Railway right of way. This trail has a lot of potential for cyclists traveling to and from Downtown to North Sacramento, Del Paso Heights, Robla, Rio Linda and Elverta. Unfortunately the trail has gotten a bad reputation and avoided by many due it's past history of homeless encampments, criminal activity etc. Most of the encampments and problems associated with them have been removed and people are able to safely use the trail again. In this video the only encampment traveling from North Sacramento to Grand Ave. in Del Paso Heights was crossing Arcade Creek and it wasn't close to the trail.
