Описание: Upendra Maharathi Shilp Anusandhan Sansthan (‪@officialumsas‬ ) is an organization that works for the preservation and promotion of art and craft of Bihar. It is based in Patna and houses crafts from all over the state. From toy making to bamboo craft, it has all the best hand crafted products and art pieces. The organization is a result of timeless and priceless hard work of gifted artisans who are all national awardees.
I visited UMSAS as a part of my college project of Design Research and got a chance to meet one such awarded artisan, Dhirendra Kumar. He played a major role in preserving the Sikki Grass Craft and was awarded the National Award for his work in the field of handicrafts.
