An engineering institute situated in outskrits of GAYA district, about 15 Km from Gaya town, is a prestigious college of Bihar.Gaya College of Engineering (GCE) (native name गया अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालय) was established in 2008. It was formerly named Magadh Engineering College when it ran as a private engineering institution but now is a public institute. It is approved by AICTE. It is a fast growing technical institution in Bihar. It was inaugurated by Hon. Chief Minister of Bihar Mr. Nitish Kumar on 19 November 2008. It is fully Government Engineering College managed by Govt. of Bihar under administrative control of Department of science and technology. It is well maintained and equipped. It is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna. GCE presently offer under graduate (UG) courses in four streams of engineering.
Admission

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts entrance test in two stages .First stage is the screening test .The screened candidates have to appear in the mains Examination (second stage) .Based on the Merit List of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (2nd stage), successful candidates are required to appear in the counseling at the office of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, IAS Association Building, Near Patna Airport, Patna 800014. Campus Facilities

The campus of GAYA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING is situated at SH-4 SHRIKRISHNANAGAR in the outskirts of GAYA district. It is about 10 km away from the main town. The area of this college is spread in 103.25 acres and there are two academic buildings one workshop and a hostel for final year students. The area is lush green and free from pollution. There is a conference hall, private road, garden and hugh ground in the college campus along with a hall.
Library

GEC has well equipped library. This library has a collection of text and reference books related to the course of study. A set of essential text book is being issued to the students individually.
Hostel

There are some private hostels providing accommodation to the students at GAYA JUNCTION for boys and NUTAN NAGAR for girls. New hostels are being constructed in college campus and soon be operational. GEC provide hostel facility to the students. Hostels are well maintained and set up with the modern facility like telephones, Color LCD television Common room, in-door games court. All rooms are single seated for the students. Each student has an individual cot, reading table, chair, fans and wardrobe of each of it occupants. Rooms are well lit and well ventilated. A mess with its dining room is functioning in the hostel, Breakfast, lunch and dinner is being served at a reasonable rate (Rs 1000/ to Rs -1500/-).
Bus Facility

Six buses ply from the GAYA JUNCTION, MANPUR AND NUTAN NAGAR at 8:30 AM sharp and classes start at 10 AM.
Bus facility is available for the students for their easy transportation. Bus facility is provided by the college at free of cost. There are no charges being taken by the college.
Laboratories And Workshops

All major Laboratories have been set up at GCE, gaya. The labs required for the B.Tech courses are ready. All laboratories are well equipped and well maintained.Computer science lab is one of the best. It is well maintained and well equipped. It consists of all machinery which required for the course.
Workshops for Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering departments are also well maintained and functioning in full swing.
Fee Structure

The tution fee for the 4 Year B.TECH. course is Rs. 19730+1000+500 lumpsum.Demand Draft should be drawn in the name of The Officer on Special Duty, GAYA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, Gaya PAYABLE AT ANY NATIONALISED BANK AT GAYA.
Placement Cell

The aim and objective of this cell is to take care of the students' training programme during the college days and guide them for seeking employment by arranging campus interviews in the college, make them aware of vacancies exiting in various industries/organizations and help them to achieve employment after passing out this institute. This cell is also responsible to organise the annual placement exercise of the institute and facilitates companies to conduct their recruiting procedure.
