Welcome to MartysMarina this is the next video in our 16ft Happy Traveller #skiff restoration project. The Happy Traveller is a 1984 tri-hull style #fiberglass skiff.
On this exciting episode of Marty's Marina we’re lapping valves on a freshly machined #honda outboard cylinder head and performing a vacuum test to make sure the valves seal properly.
Valve lapping restores the sealing surface between the valve and seat, and a vacuum test confirms whether the repair worked.
This method works for many outboard engines and small marine engines and is a great skill for DIY outboard repair.
