In a major development in the Tirumala laddu adulteration case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested TTD Executive Engineer RSSVR Subramaniam. India Today's Apoorva Jayachandran reports that Subramaniam, who served as the General Manager for Procurement between 2019 and 2024, was taken into custody and remanded till December 10. The arrest marks the tenth in the high-profile probe into the alleged use of spurious ghee in the sacred prasadam. Subramaniam was produced in the Nellore ACB court after medical tests at Ruia Hospital. The SIT is investigating the procurement processes and checks during his tenure.
