Directed by Prasun Goswami and Raunak Shivhare, Shimmering Odyssey tells the untold story of education in the shadow of India's one of the longest-running armed rebellions. In the tribal heartland of Bastar, schools were turned to bunkers by the security forces and in turn demolished by the Maoists. As children were forced into makeshift bamboo huts and porta cabins, and the education systems collapsed, a new wave of grassroots resistance arose. This documentary follows local communities as they revive schools, reclaim childhoods and rebuild dreams amidst violence and fear.
