An unreliable internet archeologist from the distant future gives a history lesson about two disastrous yet consequential weddings in New Orleans—one between Kanye West and Irish dancer Michael Flatley and the other between Hunter Biden and Crystal Mangum, the infamous exotic dancer from the Duke Lacrosse scandal. Amidst the fallout, President Biden moves the nation’s capital to New Orleans, and a space race between Kanye and Jeff Bezos ensues, leading to a tidal wave of gentrification.

Shortly thereafter Leo Lafitte, a recent law school graduate with a white-savior complex, returns home to New Orleans, determined to make a difference as a public defender, only to find a dystopian world where the Black elite have subjugated the Irish. Along the way he befriends an older Black woman displaced by the influx of outsiders and a mysterious Instagram model from Haiti. As the city rapidly changes, Leo must determine who and what he is actually fighting for. Behind the satirically nonlinear storytelling, wonky puppets, and Funko POP! figurines lies a thoughtful social commentary on race, politics, celebrity, and what we find beautiful.
