Prospects: 🇩🇪 Mathieu Grujicic ('07) at the ANGT 2025

Описание: Mathieu Grujicic has had a pretty remarkable first half of 2025. After developing himself as a basketball player at ALBA Berlin, he signed with FC Barcelona in 2023, a club where he has been able to keep working on his game to the point of making his professional debut with the first team this season in the super competitive Spanish main league at only 17 years of age. The German guard has been practicing with professional players all season long, but he played with the U18 team to gain some experience. In early February, he was part of the team that participated in the prestigious Euroleague’s Next Generation Tournament, where he had an excellent performance throughout all games, winning the tournament and being named as the MVP of the event, which put him in the spotlight of scouts as one of the top international prospects to watch. Overall, an impressive performance that led him to commit to Ohio State University in June for the upcoming season.
In this video I break down his playing style throughout all four games of the tournament. Grujicic proved to be a great team player, intelligent on the court and always trying to give his best for the team. On offense, he showed consistency from the three-point line and an effective mid-range shot. When he had the ball, he was never in a hurry and he used his change of speeds to get some advantage and create scoring opportunities, both for himself and his teammates. That high basketball IQ was also there on defense, trying to be in the right place to help and prevent some easy baskets or reading passing lanes to steal the ball.
