Uncomfortable though they may have been, CRA Sprinters hauled south to Cajon Speedway's 3/8-mile pavement several times in the late 1960s and continued through the early 1970s.
Cajon race fans were treated to a spectacular show as CRA Sprint Cars ran a full 2 seconds faster per lap than the local Stock Cars they were accustomed to.
On this cool Friday, local hotshoe Don Hamilton took the Morales Brothers Offy to a new track record and was closing at the end of the Main to finish second behind Jimmy Oskie.
