In this video, we talk about the development of the self-loading (semi-auto) battle rifle at Carl Walther during World War II. These rifles were full power, chambered for the then standard issue 7.92x57mm round used in the Mauser Kar.98k.
We begin with the prototype G.41(w), which became simply the G41 after it was officially adopted.
Also, we briefly touch upon the G.41(m) from Mauser, which was Walther's primary competition in 1942.
Then we move onto the greatly product improved G43 and K43, which were used heavily during the last year of the war.
