Bloody Harlan: Kentucky’s Coal War

Описание: YouTube Description

In the 1930s, a war erupted in the mountains of eastern Kentucky.

Not between nations…

but between coal companies determined to control every aspect of their workers’ lives…

and miners who wanted little more than fair pay, safe working conditions, and the right to organize.

This is the story of Bloody Harlan—one of the most violent labor conflicts in American history.

From company towns and coal camps…

to evictions, gun thugs, strikes, and the songs that inspired generations…

this episode explores how ordinary working people challenged some of the most powerful corporations in the country.

Whether you see unions as heroes, villains, or something in between, the events of Harlan County changed America forever.

History is messy.

Let’s learn it anyway.
