The Munal satellite is a 1U CubeSat that was developed by students at Kathmandu University High School in collaboration with the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology. The satellite is named after the Himalayan blood pheasant, which is a national bird of Nepal. Munal is scheduled to be launched into orbit in mid-2023, and it will be used to study the Earth's atmosphere and to conduct remote sensing experiments.
