Описание: What's Lebkuchen you ask? Lebkuchen are a honey sweetened German Cookie packed with Christmas Spices, Nuts and Citrus Zests. They are Cookies, BUT with a soft cakey centre that actually improves over time so best to bake a day ahead! Lebkuchen are really quick to make, and easy too, so a fab recipe to be baking before the big day arrives. If you don't have all the spices listed, don't worry! Just go with what you have.

170g Muscavado Sugar (or Dark Brown Sugar)
180g Runny Honey
55g Soft Unsalted Butter
2 Eggs
300g Plain Flour
150g Ground Almonds
2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
2 tsp Ginger
1.5 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Mace
1/2 tsp Cloves
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1/4 tsp Allspice
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
Zest of 1 Lemon

Icing Sugar
Cold Water
Rum (or Lemon Juice or just water :) )
