As Hong Kong’s skyline rises, so does the complexity of urban pollution. This research explores how particulate matter (PM1, PM2.5, PM4.25, PM10) and traffic noise disperse vertically in high-rise areas — revealing how air and noise pollution vary with building height. 📊
Using real-time monitoring equipment installed at multiple elevations, the study identifies that lower floors experience higher concentrations of pollutants and stronger noise frequencies around 800 Hz. With strong correlations between noise and particulate levels, the findings emphasize the importance of considering vertical pollution dispersion in urban planning and public health policies. 🌆
