Описание: Norma Jeane Mortenson spent Christmas 1926 through 1937 rotating between eleven different foster homes and the Los Angeles Orphans Home Society, never receiving real family gifts and watching other orphans get packages from relatives while she sat with empty hands because her mother was institutionalized and her father never acknowledged her existence. On Christmas Eve 1935 the orphanage matron distributed gifts to twelve girls who had family but skipped Norma Jeane and seven others, giving them charity combs the next day instead, and even after becoming Marilyn Monroe she told her psychiatrist that Christmas always made her feel like that abandoned child again.
