Aglet or Aiglets are the plastic ends on boot laces that stop them fraying and enable them to be threaded through the holes. Sometimes they get damaged or you want to shorten your laces for a better fit so you need to fit new ones.
It is really easy with heat shrinking plastic ones, use a flame, boiling water or put them in the oven at 100 degrees.
Of course your laces must be able to put up with the heat!
