Last year, I ran into the issue that my cordless drill, even when decelerating smoothly, would brake the reel too abruptly — with a real risk of damaging the gearbox. If you remember, I was using a torsion spring to connect to the reel shaft instead of a standard 17 mm socket.

Now, while disassembling the side deck to replace the bearings, I came up with a cleaner, more elegant solution.
