YouGov Director of Public Data Paul Smith says the Coalition’s stance on working from home was one of the major issues contributing to the party’s devastating loss in the federal election.
“That demographic of people, they looked to the Coalition and said, you don’t understand us at work, this is really important, work from home was a real killer for the Coalition,” Mr Smith said.
“People in our suburbs and city are really having to work two jobs to make ends meet, they were really struggling, and one of the things that has helped them is work from home, because a lot of people can juggle things.
“They kind of didn’t like the connection to Trump.”
