Hey Guys, This is my Day 2 of no coffeine! I also discuss how caffeine can cause or affect high blood pressure. First off, today went pretty good. Got off work early so wasnt tempted to drink soda. Me and my wife grabbed some breakfast burritos and came home to relax. Was a little uncomfortable because I would usually have my 2 cups of coffee with my breakfast while watching my morning sports shows, but i got through it ok. One of the effects of caffeine is that it can have an impact on your blood pressure. If you are a daily caffeine consumer, then it wont raise your blood pressure significantly. This generally happens to those who rarely drink caffeinated drinks like coffee, energy drinks, soda, or energy shots. If you already suffer from high blood pressure or hypertension, have had a heart attack or stroke, or suffer from another type of heart disease, then limiting or cutting caffeine out of your like all together might be the best option. Even a small raise in blood pressure can cause problems for someone who has hypertension.
