Here we see the onboard view out of the window on the right hand side of CR400AF-2013 departing Xi'an North working G664 bound for Beijingxi on 23/01/2019. The CR400AF along with the CR400BF are the fastest conventional train operational in the world and reach speeds of up to 350kmh (217mph) in service. I believe these EMUs reach speeds of 350kmh only between Beijing and Shanghai.
In the video we reach a speed of 300kmh (186mph) from standstill at Xi'an North and travel from the outskirts to the country side a few miles from the city. The video actually goes out of focus a few times because of the speed we were travelling at and the amount of things flying by! At 07:58 (in the video) we pass a Chinese freight train travelling on a different railway line along side the highspeed line. This video shows the true scale of China and the size of their huge infrastructure which still amazes me.
