Bridge Out, Road Closed… Then This Happened | Winter Van Life in Oregon

Описание: We thought we were just crossing a snowy mountain pass in Oregon.
Instead, we hit road closures, a bridge out, heavy winter conditions, and an unexpected van scare — all before we even made it to the coast.

Jason from Primal Outdoors and I were traveling together to meet friends when winter van life reminded us who’s really in charge. A closed road forced us to reroute through wildfire-damaged forest areas, steep icy grades, and snow-covered backroads. At one point, we even thought his van might be overheating on a brutal incline.

Not exactly how we pictured the day going.
But sometimes the forced detours lead somewhere better.

After turning around and adjusting the route, we landed in one of the most peaceful rainforest campsites I’ve ever experienced — snow falling through moss-covered trees, a river running nearby, and Apollo stepping outside in the snow for the first time.

Winter van life in Oregon is unpredictable.
It can be stressful.
It can test your patience.
And it can surprise you in the best ways.
