Delhi: The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has filed a petition in the Supreme Court alleging a “system failure” by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in conducting the NEET UG 2026 examination.

Advocate Tanvi Dubey said, “This petition has been filed in the backdrop of the NEET UG paper leak case. Our main demand is that the National Testing Agency (NTA) should be dissolved and replaced with an autonomous and more accountable institution. We have also stated that such incidents are happening repeatedly. Last year, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court in the name of Vanshika Yadav, and a committee was also formed. The Supreme Court had raised several concerns about how such a ‘system failure’ could occur in a national-level examination, where the future of millions of students and aspiring doctors is at stake. How can we tolerate such failures in such an important examination?”
