This week’s Treasures From God’s Word is a 10-minute talk based on Isaiah 40 under the theme: “Like a Shepherd He Will Care For His Flock.”

In this talk, we examine how Isaiah chapter 40 strengthens our confidence in Jehovah’s loving care and personal concern for each of us.

First, we consider how Jehovah has provided and preserved his Word, the Bible, to draw us close to him (Isaiah 40:8). While human ideas fade and circumstances change, Jehovah’s word endures forever. His promises are reliable, and his written Word continues to guide, comfort, and strengthen us today.

Second, Isaiah 40:11 portrays Jehovah as a tender shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart. This touching illustration assures us that Jehovah is not distant or impersonal. He is gentle, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of his sheep.

Third, Isaiah 40:26–29 reminds us that Jehovah knows us individually and gives power to the tired one. The Creator who calls the stars by name is fully aware of our struggles, limitations, and emotional burdens. When we feel exhausted or overwhelmed, he provides the strength we need to endure.

This talk will help you appreciate Jehovah’s enduring Word, his tender care, and his power to sustain you through any challenge.
