The FV4005 was one of a number of programmes looking at mounting large guns on Tanks, to meet perceived Soviet threats post World War II, the 183mm gun being the largest ever mounted on a Tank (to date!). The Stage 1 vehicle was experimental, this Stage 2 vehicle included a Turret, both being mounted on Centurion Mk III hulls. The Project was cancelled in 1957.
This video includes footage from the Friday and Saturday 'We've going to need a bigger gun' displays at TANKFEST 2025.
I was located at different parts of the Arena on each of the days so footage from both days gives different views; I would also mention at least some of the Friday footage also appears in a video I've published covering the full Friday 'We've going to need a bigger gun' Display more fully (that video is linked at the end of this one, should you wish to see more).
