Diesel Locomotives Long Hood Forward

Описание: In railroading, "long hood forward" describes a practice of operating a diesel locomotive with the operator's cab positioned toward the rear of the unit and the long section with the engine compartment, called the "long hood", at the front. While many early diesel locomotives used to be run in this fashion, it is now somewhat unusual to see out on the main line. In this video, we take a look at locomotives running long hood forward on main line freight trains as well as on a tourist railroad.
