I purchased a new 45", 112lb thrust Minn Kota Ultrex in August 2022 and received it in late October 2022. I had it professionally installed a few days after receiving it and subsequently tested it out in a club tournament a few days later.
What you see in this video, taken June 12, 2023, is an issue I've had from the very first time I used the motor. The motor's foot pedal freezes for no good reason. This occurs at various times throughout a 9-hour day on the water, but more often (80+when times) when it rains. The only way to "thaw it" is to recycle power.
I've had the control and sensor boards in the foot pedal replaced, but, unfortunately, the issues continue. However, I am hopeful that the authorized service center (ASC) that is working on this will ultimately resolve the problem once and for all.
