Tensions Rise in Balasore After Vandalism at Religious Site

Описание: Tensions have flared near Balasore's Poolbazar Chowk following an act of vandalism at a religious site belonging to a different community. Reports indicate that some miscreants used sticks to damage lights at the site. Local residents, upon discovering the damage, reviewed CCTV footage, which revealed that the incident occurred when some individuals were returning after the Durga Puja Bhassani (idol immersion) procession. A complaint was lodged at the Town Police Station.

In response to the simmering tension in the area, a large police force has been deployed, and the Poolbazar road has been sealed. A magisterial inquiry is underway, with the Sadar Magistrate, SP, and other senior police officials present at the scene. Police are actively investigating and searching for the culprits responsible for this deplorable act.
