This is where the pro teams go to train for the world tour races. A Spanish Island close to Africa, with perfect weather all year round. Gran Canaria, Spain.
I hopped on the 2021 Specialized Roubaix Comp Ultegra at Maspalomas and headed for Soria. It was epic! The steep climbs (16% gradient) and the technical descents, the cool breeze of the Atlantic sea and the hoards of like-minded cyclists criss-crossing the island. I was the odd one out on flat pedals but this was just the warm up 🤣. Next time I cycle here will be 🔥.
