There will be hardly any of you who have not heard about the Amazon River. Around 64000 kilometres long, it's origin is believed to be the Rio mantaro river of Peru. But despite being the second largest river in the world, do you know that there is not a single bridge on the whole Amazon. Yes, you heard it absolutely right. But the question is, why?

In this era of modern technology, while on one hand big tunnels and bridges are made under water, then on the other hand why even a single bridge over this Amazon river till date Couldn't be built. Is there anything really mysterious about this Amazon river, or is there something we are missing out completely. If you are also troubled by thinking the same, then don’t worry, because in today's video we are gonna unveil the real reason behind this unheard mystery of the Amazon. So without wasting any time, let's get started.

Before knowing this secret, you have to know the geographical location of the Amazon River and some important things related to it. As we have told you, according to the volume, It is the world's largest river and the second longest river in the world in terms of length. It flows in 6 different countries including Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia,Ecuador and Brazil. The Amazon rainforest presented here is the largest and oldest forest in the world which dates back to 50 and half millions of years from now. They are also called the lungs of the earth, because about 20 percent of the total oxygen produced all over the earth comes from these Amazon forests. This forest is no less than a paradise for the animals and plants existing here.

The fact that this forest is home to more than 17,000 species of plants is evidence that why people call this place so. This place is also home to about 4 billion trees which contributes a lot to the Earth's ecosystem. These trees are so big and dense that the land here also craves sunlight. Also there are more than 30,000 species of insects and 3000 species of spiders. Apart from this, many animals are found in the forests of Amazon too. This rainforest is so huge that it is spreaded in about 4% of the whole earth.

Along with that, the Amazon has more than 1100 tributaries, out of which the length of 17 rivers is more than 1500 km. There are more than 3000 species of fishes found in there, not only this, the world's largest snake Anaconda is also found majorly in this river. Anaconda can easily get rid of even the biggest creatures, and can also kill some of them very easily when he is inside his Amazon Kingdom.

The Amazon River alone contributes 20 percent of the drinkable water in the world. As per data, more than 30 million people across 9 countries live on the banks of the Amazon river, and two-thirds of these people are only from Brazil.

Now the question arises, that when there is so much population here, then is there no need for a bridge over this river? And if there is, then why is the government not doing this.

First of all for those who are thinking that it's impossible to build a bridge over here, it's just a myth, which means it's completely possible that a bridge could be constructed over this vast river. However, there are so many reasons behind this failure, out of which the first and biggest reason is that the weather here is very dry, which is the biggest challenge for the construction of the bridge.

The second reason behind the difficulties is that the width of this river is also very high. It is very difficult to build a bridge here on such a width because as soon as it rains here, the water level of this river rises up to about 30 feet. It leads to such a rise that when viewed from one end of the river, the other end is not even known in such circumstances. The level of water in the river increases so much that it starts looking like an ocean, whose end is not visible till far.
