Wandsworth Road Station (South London) on 7th & 11th July 1994
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Wandsworth Road Station near Battersea on 7th July and again on 11th July 1994. The Eurostar trains had started running out of London Waterloo to the continent and V.V. Class 465 EMU's were fast taking over, but I did capture some rare Liveried 2HAP and 4EPB units plus 931001. In the form of loco traction class 33, with a few surprises, 37, 47, 56, 58, 60 and 73s again in different liveries. The weather was very warm and prior to A/C the drivers of slam door stock had doors open to ventilate and to keep cool. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
