Описание: Essa is an original percussion composition by DOMNIQ, recorded live at The Concertgebouw Amsterdam during the World of Rhythm premiere. This work is inspired by DOMNIQ’s study trip to Essaouira, Morocco, where he immersed himself in traditional North African rhythms and collaborated with local percussionists.

By blending contemporary percussion, global drumming traditions, and subtle electronic textures, Essa explores the lyrical and energetic character of Moroccan percussion, while honoring its cultural and spiritual roots. The performance draws inspiration from the Gnaoua Festival, the call to prayer, and the vibrant atmosphere of Essaouira’s Medina.
