Hidden Gems - Freedom Force (Episode 1)

Описание: Welcome to the Silver Age, when the commie menace was making headlines and superheroes comics were straightforward stories of good versus evil (often communist in nature). That was the inspiration Irrational Games (yes, the Bioshock studio) used to create a tactical RPG game (think Commandos but less punishing).

Earth is overrun by Chemical X, which gives people superpower; an evil alien species is hoping villains will get their hands on it and prep the planet for an easy conquest. But one of the aliens is on the side of good, and gathers some of the good people that got infected by Chemical X, leading to the creation of the Freedom Force! In this iss-er, episode, the Freedom Force stops Nuclear Winter from turning Patriot City into a Frozen Tundra, and stop some dinosaurs from rampaging around.

When you think about classic PC retro games, you probably think about games like Half-Life, Starcraft, Deus Ex, or Heroes of Might and Magic 3. But there were so many incredible and experimental games, which today lay mostly forgotten, like Silver, Total Annihilation, American McGee's Alice, Sanitarium, Aliens versus Predator 2, Zeus: Master of Olympus, and many many more.
