This song was born out of a simple but profound biblical truth: God always keeps His promises—but He keeps them in His time.

“And preaching the gospel to that city, and having made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch, confirming the souls of the disciples, calling on them to continue in the faith and that through much tribulation we must enter into the kingdom of God.” (Acts 14:21-22)

In Genesis, Eve believed she had received the promised Seed when Cain was born. Her understanding of the promise was right, but her timing was wrong. The Messiah would indeed come through humanity, but not yet. Cain, though firstborn, would become the first to shed blood, not the One who would redeem it.

“Right Promise, Wrong Day” tells that story—and our story.

How often do we recognise God’s promise, yet stumble over the timing? How often do we look for signs instead of waiting for Him?
