Описание: Welcome to the third episode of the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine's Health Matters Podcast! On this episode, Mary Ann Maurer, DO, and Pratima Ramkissoon, DO, joins CAMC's Chief Academic Officer Doug Knutson, MD, to discuss the importance of immunizations and vaccinations in young adults. Dr. Maurer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the West Virginia University School of Medicine Charleston Campus and the Associate Program Director for CAMC's Family Medicine Residency Program. Prior to her current role, she was a Family Physician in Clendenin, WV, working with Cabin Creek Health Systems. Dr. Maurer is boarded in both Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine and spends her days seeing patients and teaching residents and medical students about family medicine. Dr. Maurer has been voted "Attending of the Year" 5 times by her family medicine residents since she has been with the program.


Dr. Pratima Ramkissoon graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and continued her training at CAMC in the Family Medicine Residency Program with Dr. Maurer. She currently works at the CAMC Charleston Primary Care Office and is a passionate public health advocate.
