What is Ambleside like in January? One of the main towns in the Lake District. Is it busy? Is it quiet? Are the shops open? Will I be able to get a parking space? Join me for a walk from Windermere lake front to the town centre as I try and answer these questions. En-route we will take a quick look at the Roman Fort, see how easy it is to get to the town centre from the lake and maybe get a quick airshow from the RAF!!!
