Ulf Svansbo named this tune after the road called Solmyravägen which runs from Kolsva to Färna and passes Svansbo where he lived. The road was in notoriously bad shape for a long time, with a lot of turns and cars going fast. He thought the tune reminded him of the road.
Polones after Anders Olof Sjökvist, Smedby, Medåker. It is from a notebook (for violin and clarinetto primo A) from 1851 which contains 92 polones or polskas.
