Here, wee see how to improvise on Minor Blues on a C harmonica.
Play along : • Gypsy Jazz Play Along - Minor blues
1) The first way is the easiest one : second position exclusively, the most traditional way for harp players
2) The second way is adding some G minor scales, in particular melodic minor and harmonic minor
3) The third way is adding some altered scales : D superlocrian, D whole tone, D semitone-tone (diminished). These D scales are appropriate on D7 chords.
The chords you'd find on a G minor blues would be :
Gm of course, Cm, Am7b5, D7, why not D7b9
