This guy sucks. Here is how to beat Rom, the Vacuous Spider in Bloodborne. Whenever Rom spawns in, he drops down 10 spiders alongside him that you have to take out or dodge their attacks. I think it's worthwhile to take them out in their first phase when the spider doesn't use his range attacks on you. But during the 2nd and 3rd phases, it's better just to attack him. The little spiders can deal a lot of damage, so really keep an eye out for them. With a little bit of effort, you can takedown Rom the vacuous spider by just playing the good old fashion from software strategy when it comes to big bosses: stick to the behind
