Описание:
An australian pub classic the steak sandwich . Caramelised onions, beetroot ( I couldn't find my can opener lol ) and a nice piece of scotch steak smothered in barbecue sauce.
Ingredients
300g scotch fillet/rib eye steak
Turkish bread
1 brown onion
1 tomato
coral or baby cos lettuce
1 tin beetroot
barbecue sauce
1 egg
Swiss cheese (optional )
Method
Season your steak either with salt and pepper or my favourite is a Moroccan style blend. Simply cook the steak for about 5 minutes until medium along with the onions and fried egg. Toast your Turkish bread then smother with barbecue sauce then assemble and enjoy with a cold beer.
Notes
USE A CAN OPENER !! (I lost mine but you have to improvise when you are hungry). Cook the steak to your liking but I find if they are more rare they bleed too much and make the sandwich a bit soggier. If cooked well done it can be chewier and harder to take bites without wresting the whole steak out.
