PC Engine CoreGrafx Console Unboxing

Описание: The PC Engine is what the TurboGrafx-16 was known as in Japan, except rather than just changing the name when it was brought to the West, they changed almost every single thing about the console. With a smaller, sleeker design that easily fits in the palm of your hand, it was deemed that North Americans would be unable to fathom how such a micro-sized unit could compete with the mighty Nintendo Entertainment System, so for purely aesthetic reasons the huge by comparison TG16 is was the rest of the world got.

The CoreGrafx model of the PC Engine adds AV compatibility to the console, which for the TurboGrafx-16 required an extra adapter in order to use. The CoreGrafx also introduced the rapid fire turbo switches on the controller, which were thankfully brought over when the TG16 released elsewhere.

In this video we unbox the PC Engine CoreGrafx and look at what it would have been like to buy one new! Then we compare the size of both the consoles and the boxes for the Japanese and North American versions to see just how much changed!
