FLATLAND PRAYER
At its heart, Flatland Prayer is an improvisatory chamber group. Within those confines, however, the trio pulls from a wide variety of influences, combining elements of American folk, jazz, and contemporary classical music.
Vocalist Liva Dumpe and trumpeter Antonio Moreno expertly interpret River Adomeit's songwriting, incorporating new elements with every performance. To watch the trio together is like looking in through their murky living room window, aware that you are witnessing an intimate exchange without quite understanding what it is.
