👉Novel Review:

I never thought I will ever read Amarbail because,

I knew one of the most important plot twists and honestly, I think everyone does. It's so famousand everyone knows about umer's death. And

I didn't want to read a depressing novel. But I still did. And it honestly wasn't that depressing.

So, I have some pointers and here they are:
First of all, how much did I like the story? I don't know. I actually don't know how much. Definitely not as much as Peer-e-kamil or Namal.

but still I think it was a pretty good story. I'd recommend it.

• It was not so long or didn't feel dragged. It was to the point and the story is very much centered around the main leads. Which I like very much.

No any useless scenes with some relatives or
anything. It was a their story, truly.

• Characters:

Aleeza was a good character but Umer... I am so, so angry at that dude.I want stab him 777 times or even shoot him again. Bro, that dude was STUPID. it's all I can say, honestly. I know his character was very complex and had many facets but the fact that as a love story, that dude destroyed it all.

Just imagine that this man loves this girl and I
quote;

"Tum sey ayhem meray liye aur koi nahi ho
sakta"


Mey tou tum par aik khraash bhi bardasht nahi
kar sakta"See?

He loves her. Even a blind person can see
that he loves her and the fact that this dude
DENIES it every time just makes me angry. Like okay, you don't want to confess yourself but atleast don't deny it while she is confessing right in front of your face. Like, there is absolutely no hurdle in their story other than him.

And I understand his reason that

"I am not a family man and she deserves better"

but still I would have adored to have a better
reason. Like, hello? every dude says 'you deserve better' when he doesn't want to marry anyone.

Tbh, Umer loved someone else, is in a
relationship with someone else. Many of his
facets were hidden from the audience and I
would have like it but it just made his character a little unlikeable in my opinion. I mean just think, if all the reason for you doing what you are doing is that you think you are not worthy then show us how unworthy you are.

I think it would havemade it a lot better if there were some parts with his point of view too. Even at the end, that would have made his character very much better. But it's all my opinion.

• There is absolutely no communication between them. I mean, it still pains my heart and Aleeza didn't even ever hear from him that he loves her.

She never even had any explanations for why
Umer was doing this. She deserved an
explanation. She truly did.

Umer wanted to reject her proposal but still be
her best friend. Also, he wanted to make every
decision for her or even alter her decisions, do
whatever he wanted. Okay, I understand that he wanted the best for her that's why he made her marry his best friend but seriously? He hid so much from so many people and then died
without even giving an explanation.

• I needed closure and I would have gotten it if
there was honestly even a single chapter with
Umer explaining why he did what he did. We can obviously still understand why he did things but his explanation would have made things so much better. there was honestly even a single chapter with Umer explaining why he did what he did.
