Testing 30 Steam Deck 3D prints in 30 days. Day 12: The belly stand. Yes, it looks exactly like you think it does.
✅ 2h 20min print
✅ 79g PETG (reduces scratch risk)
✅ 4 pegs, fully 3D printed design
✅ Multiple versions available
✅ Hundreds printed by community
This is the "fully 3D printed" version—no glue, no hardware. Four pegs assemble into the stand body. Assembly was surprisingly easy despite comments suggesting difficulty. Maybe the design improved, maybe PETG made a difference. One peg needed slightly more force. Once assembled, feels sturdy.
THE REALITY: The Deck becomes almost weightless. Rests on your stomach at comfortable viewing distance. Perfect button access, stable, good viewing angle. Could game for hours—any position shifting would be normal restlessness, not fatigue from holding the Deck.
REMOVAL: Must lift from top first where hooks have most give. Tested multiple times with PETG and careful removal—no scratching. If worried about scratches, there's a version that fits with a case on.
THE DIGNITY FACTOR: Everyone who sees this thinks it looks dumb. I feel comfortable, so I don't feel ridiculous. It's not strapped to my head or anything.
If you hold your Deck lying down and get arm numbness, this is a real solution. Less bulky than pillows, works better than random stands. Hundreds of people have printed these for a reason.
Verdict: Worth Printing ✅
