We are exploring the dangers at Sonoma County beaches. Yes, the beaches along the Sonoma County beaches are simple beautiful. Along an 18 mile stretch that streches from Bodega Bay to Jenner, there are 26 beach enclaves to explore, picninc, and beach comb.
However, the majority of these beaches are dangerous! These Sonoma County beaches contain berms and drop offs that form a strong undertoe and sneaker waves that can sweep up a person in seconds.
Dangerous beaches like Blind Beach and Goat Rock State beach in Jenner, California, Portuguese Beach, Schoolhouse Beach, and the popular camping destination of Wright's Beach all pose great risk with their unpredictable surf.
