He won a stage in the race and took 4th in 2008 in the race. He was also a 2-time USA Olympian competing in the 2000 and 2008 Olympics for the USA. He was born with cycling in his genes and his blood, his father John, is a USA Cycling Hall of Famer and 2-time USA Olympian. Christian won 5 national championships in the USA among several of his great accomplishments. The Lemont, Illinois native retired from his sport in 2013 and since 2014, he's been the lead cycling analyst for NBC Sports, where he commentates from the back of a motorcycle during the Tour De France. Christian also works for Peleton as a guide on their now famous platform. He's enjoying his retirement with his wife and 2 kids, along with the broadcasting and Peleton work. Tremendous episode on a fascinating career in cycling, thanks to Christian for joining us on the pod and we believe you will enjoy his insight to the world of professional cycling and what it takes to compete at the highest level of the sport, and his transition out of his athletic career!
