Starting at West Meon and walking up The Monarchs Way to Beacon Hill summit after we headed across The South Downs Way to Old Winchester Hill summit. Finally picking up the Meon Valley Trail and heading back down this circular walk to West Meon.

Join us as we take on the challenge of hiking to Old Winchester hill along the Monarch’s Way from West Meon we first hike to Beacon Hill, after admiring the veiws from beacon hill summit we walk The South Downs Way to Old Winchester Hill.
The South Downs Way is a 100-mile-long trail that stretches from Winchester to Eastbourne, and today I'm tackling a particularly beautiful and historic section of it - from West Meon to Old Winchester Hill. This route takes me along the Monarchs Way, a 615-mile trail that commemorates the escape of King Charles II from Cromwell's troops in 1651. With its stunning scenery, rich history, and challenging terrain, this hike is not to be missed!
This hike is a loop and we return on The Meon Valley trail walking amounst beautiful forest trails back to West Meon.
