This is the first part in a video series entitled, "When cyclists have their own lanes, they should use them"
The name was inspired by a San Diego Union Tribune editorialized title to an opinion piece featuring two obnoxious letter writers bemoaning a mother allegedly riding with her child outside a bike lane.
A roasting and take-down of the letters is here:

Bicyclists should not and are not obligated to use this "lane"
Bicyclists may use the full travel lane and faster moving traffic can use the adjacent lane to pass.
City of San Diego and the California Department of Transportation were both made aware of this monstrosity in May and June of 2017 respectively. The signage has still not been removed despite requests from bicyclists. The "bike lane" is extremely narrow (does not meet standards), the pavement condition is horrendous. Parts, if not most of the "bike lane" lie within the gutter. Even when the paint was fresh and the asphalt was smooth, this never met the minimum requirements for a bike lane. Unfortunately, many cyclists use it despite the hazards because of pressure from society and ignorance with regards to the law.
